trick for calories on the zone?

is there anything i can eat that is zone friendly that packs alot of calories besides almonds or olive oil? i eat 4 meals a day of 7-8 blocks and about 5x fat and my metabolism is so high i cant keep the weight on, but i love how i feel and perform on the usual weight is 200 lbs eating on the lines of starting strength or power lifting type food but on zone i struggle to maintain 175lbs. i need the weight to compete in my style of gritty play in senior hockey

Re: trick for calories on the zone?

Peanut butter and other nut butters. Other nuts.

Ice cream is not Zone friendly, but if you have a big old ice cream protein shake with a scoop of peanut butter every day, you should be able to keep that weight on. Also, one cup of 1% milk is pretty much in the Zone. You could make a peanut-butter smoothie with milk and peanut butter. That would get you proportional amount of carbs and protein with the extra fat.

God, I wish I had your problem.
