Re: The Chronicles of Brooksie 1/2

Well the 3rd air squat was the wrong thing to do, I think I pulled/strained the tendon on the side of my knee I felt it 'pop' when I was standing back up and now I have a knot on the right side of my leg just above my knee. Jason told me not to work out today and possibly not tomorrow. I feel like a slacker because Im not working out, but since I cant put my own shoes on I guess he is right.

Re: The Chronicles of Brooksie 1/2

You are doing crossfit to take care of your body - not to harm it! Slack off for a few days and get back to it when your body tells you it's ready. And remember not to go back full force! Take it easy, Brooksie 1/2!

Re: The Chronicles of Brooksie 1/2

I have never done thrusters before and Jason is working today so I chose to do Tabata something else. I did the puppies version because I figured the workout should kick my butt since I wasnt do the rx'd WOD.

jumping pullups 10/8/6/8 total 32
bench pushups 9/8/11/9 total 37
situps 7/6/6/6 total 25
1/2 squats 10/8/9/10 total 37

total 128 reps.

I was told not to do full squats for a while ebcause of me hurting my knee last week doing full squats so I guess for a little bit longer Im stuck doing 1/2 squats. Just hopefully not to long

Talking Re: The Chronicles of Brooksie 1/2

Well Ive been gone for 6 months, I kinda had suprise knee surgery. Good times. It hasnt been that bad of a recovery, my first knee surgery was definatly worse as far as recovery goes. I'm thinking that since I just got released from physical therapy I am going to start doing crossfit again, I've got to do something.
