This brings up the age old question of dosage. How much is therapeutic (i.e. a positive contribution towards fitness) and how much is overdose? The answer is not easy. Certainly this sort of WOD is great for mental fitness, learning how to embrace the suck. Might not be so good for the legs, though. Or maybe it will.

Lincoln, you are correct. This was a bet, I would not do this to improve my fitness. I bet that Mikko will win the games this year, Mike (the guy without the tights) bet Rich will win. This was to determine who gets to pick the workout that the loser will do. Since I won the bet, and Mikko is winning the games, Mike has to do "Bull".

Please comment back to us how many days it takes for your legs to come back to norm. I'm guessing at least 4 if not a week.

I don't even want to do 120 air squats. Or 135# or bodyweight squats. Much rather do a heavy 2, 3 or 5 set ;(

How is this stupid compared to any other Crossfit workout with max reps!? I'm sure these guys don't do this on a regular basis in attempt to improve leg strength/endurance.

Assuming you aren't the guy in the video... Lol

Dan John has been advocating this type of workout for a long time. The 100-rep death set of something nasty, your choice. Even he admits it may not be such a good idea for physical fitness. It's more of a mental toughness builder, which is why he recommends doing this only once a year.

I did 50 of 225 once in 5:04 and my back locked up afterwards for a good hour and next few days were Bleh...

Wouldn't want to shoot for 100 reps.

Nice work though on pushing through
