Progression on Rings

Hi Everyone!

I've been a lurker on the forums for a bit but this is my first time posting. I've been doing Cross-Fit since June, and recently purchased some gymnastic rings for my home. So my question!

I want to work at better Ring Dips or other gymnastic movements, but i am not sure of the type of training i should be doing, and i would love some opinions/ advice.

I guess what i am looking for is should i work on static holds, ring dip progressions, or muscle up progressions in a specific manner in the form of a routine. I guess i am looking for generic movements i can vary and do daily that would help increase my ability on the rings. Maybe ring dips for an hour monday, holds hour tuesday, something like that that can help me out.

Thank you very much for help!

-David

follow the second links program and after doing those exercises go and do 3x10 of the first links exercises. you will see improvements.

hope that helps.

G'day,

Have you tried using a band for assistance.

Re: Progression on Rings

I wasn't even aware they sold rings for home use. You mean those gymnastics rings? Where did you install it? Do you have enough movement range to practice with those in your house?

^What is your point in posting those pics on here? Was that your attempt at mocking me?

I am sure you are aware that there is a forum etiquette policy here. If you choose to not follow the rules, then I am sure the moderator will keep you out of this forum, based on clear violation of those rules.

I am very new to the crossfit system, and actually still fairly new to working out and serious training in general, so if I am ignorant of some things, then hopefully you will be aware that some people do not possess your level of knowledge when it comes to athletic equipment.

What, really? Ease up dude, that was a joke, and a pretty funny take on "ring" progressions. Also, there is no violation of rules there.
