Bar "Rust"?

I've had a Rogue Bar for over a year and haven't had any issues. I recently noticed this "chipping" or rust-like color on the collars, and was wondering if this is normal.

It doesn't look like anything to worry about, but I've never owned a barbell for this long, so I figured I'd ask. The bar is strictly used indoors.

The area in question is the closest to the bar.

I think that is the bronze bushing.

So I'm guessing that this is no issue. Just normal wear?

Thanks Bill. I always wonder how you find these Rogue threads... you must have something automated going on

Re: Bar "Rust"?

Every bar sleeve has bronze bushings pressed into them which is what the bar rotates against giving it a nice spin. You are seeing the bronze bushing exposed where it meets the bar.

You have nothing to worry about, just keep using the best bar around!
