VFF Question

Hey everyone, I'm looking at some VFF sprints, and I just wanted to ask people who have used them if the strap across the top gave anyone problems. One of my friends just picked up a pair, and he told me he'd heard of people having this problem... a search didn't really say either way. Thanks for the help

Re: VFF Question

What kind of problems?

My best advice is to take them for a test jog before you buy them, if they'll let you. Mine felt fine at first, but upon getting them home and actually trying them out, the right pinkie turned out to be pretty tight, and ended up hurting quite a bit later on.

I've broken them in a bit more, and gotten my pinkie all calloused and used to it now, so it's not as big an issue anymore.

The only issue with the straps that I've had, is that if you tighten the ones in the back uneven, you can bring the plastic parts a bit too close to skin, and depending on what you're doing (trekking, climbing, etc.), this can rub against your ankle and eventually cause a blister or cut.

Other than that -- no complaints. Just make sure they fit WELL. They're great

Re: VFF Question

Where'd you get yours? They carry them at playmakers around here, but if I order them offline I can get 15$ off, so I doubt they'd let me take them for a test jog... and then not buy them from their store haha.

I guess he heard the top strap can rub on the top of the foot pretty bad and cause a lot of discomfort... which I thought would just get calloused over. I dunno, they seemed fine to me though.

Re: VFF Question

I first ordered the sprints and they were extremely uncomfortable - part of it due to a manufacturing error - but I returned them for classics and they are excellent! I have no problem needing them to be more secure, even when running. The classics just fit me better.

Re: VFF Question

I haven't bought a pair...yet, but I thought the classics looked way more comfortable.
