HAHAHAHA that is funny and a good reason not to give in being high in the rings.

I like todays workout, you should do well if your DUs are good. If you can stay calm in them then you will be flying.

yes todays will get breathy, just cruise the run, not too slow or too fast the double unders will go well as 20 is a good number for me, not too many and since I have broke my buddy lee and use a cheap shorter rope doubles have been much better.

So the slower shorter rope is better? I know the slowere the rop the easier the DUs are, less misses and more controll.

I dont think the cheap small handled ropes are slower, as its shorter the rotation is less so it actually goes round a lot faster and I dont have to jump as high. I have ordered a Cable Rope from Rogue, we have a friend bringing a load back from Afghanistan in December so looking forward to that.

Its lucky I speak Ernesto, its push jerks for strength then ... 13 minute amrap.. run 800m then in remaining time 12 push ups 20 double unders, done so much yesterday the smaller volume will be good.

Re: A Bears Tale

Ok I see. My buddy lee( nees a new rope) was faster then my cheap rope, and my cheap rope causes me to slow down and I can cruse pretty weell but it is heavier and takes a bigger toll on my shoulders then the buddy lee.

''Speak Ernesto!'' Cracked me up there.

Guess all ropes are different, just like this particular rope and apparently its the cheapest in the gym.

Here's some Ernesto: Goon don de fastie rope!

Re: A Bears Tale

17 November 2011

Push Jerk

60k x 3
70k x 3
80k x 3
90k x 3
95k x 1
100k x 1
102.5k x 1
105k x 1 PR

Happy with that, finally got past the 100k overhead barrier.

13 minute amrap:

Run 800m to start then

12 Push ups
20 Double Unders - 12 rounds, 9 reps or 13 rounds 9 reps

Had a bit of counting confusion, not sure when I completed round 10 or was it 11, bolded up the lesser score just in case.

Yeah enjoyed that, got about 7 rounds unbroken with the push ups then it was 9.. 3 seconds the finish.

Got something for you and anyone else to critique today, got a push jerk pr last night but it looks awful to me, the video is actually 102.5k even though Rob says 105, I did get 105 afterwards.
