Need some nutritional advice

OK...I am finally asking for advice, for a couple things. Backstory: I am lazy.

That about sums it up. Now, to the "issue".

In the mornings, I and the wife have our large cup of coffee over breakfast. I spike mine (likely in the 16oz range) with some half-and-half and 3 teaspoons of sugar (real sugar, not the chemical crap that passes for it). While I am fairly sure that 3t of sugar are not a major issue, I would like to try and cut it out.

I've tried coffee w/o sugar but with cream, and w/o cream but with sugar. Since I also like expresso w/sugar, I wasn't surprised to discover that I prefer the black w/sugar version over cream-no-sugar.

Now, before folks think I am "addicted" to coffee, let me say that if I am, it's more taste/emotional. I can go w/o coffee for days and never get headaches or be irritable, etc. (unlike my better half).

I don't want to go the Sacharin (sp?) route, nor Nutrasweet or Splenda. I tried Stevia years ago but, darn, was that bitter...even using just a little bit.

Any suggestions?

Now, the part where the lazy applies:

Post-dinner. We often have a small (custard size) bowl of Ice Cream after dinner. If the coffee thing was bad, then I know this is worse. Part of the attraction, other than ice cream ROCKS, is that it's fast and easy...a couple of scoops, and you're eating.

The problem is that...it's fast and easy...a couple of scoops, and you're eating.

What I am looking for are some suggestions for healthy dessert ideas that re fast and easy.

I admit to having a horrible sweet tooth. Basically, I refuse to have cakes or cookies around because I will eat them....ALL. Thus, knowing my Kryptonite, I avoid bringing it into the house. Outside the house, I can control myself, usually.

Thanks for allowing me to share my guilt.

Life is short, enjoy your "cheat vices", with that said, Sugar is death.

At some point you'll decide to change, whether to get stronger, faster, lose weight or just to tame the "sweet tooth", until then, it's you're call.

Tim, sounds like you need to find something to replace those late-night ice cream attacks. Something easy and quick and a bit more nutritious. Perhaps something prepared in advance, in bulk quantities that you can throw in the fridge.

Fast and easy dessert: fruit!
usually 1 step: eat!

plus fruits are pretty filling; 2 oranges for 4 blocks of carbs and I'm stuffed.

Re: Need some nutritional advice

Have some pushups for dessert. Seriously, though. Knocking out a few quick reps of some BW exercise usually kills the urge for me.
