60 Double Unders - PR

When I started practicing DU's I could not do two back to back and one rep was really ugly. That was about 2 months ago. Not long ago I got 60 in a row. My form looks good too, almost like I'm doing singles. It's amazing how one day something can seem impossible and with practice and perseverance the next day seem like old hat. Thanks CF for pushing me.

Re: 60 Double Unders - PR

That is awesome!
I "can" do DUs, but I split them with singles in between.
At our affiliate's pre-WOD warmup we do 100 singles... I was very happy when I was finally able to do the full 100 non-stop.
I guess your post has given me some motivation to try to knock off doing the split singles/DUs and try to go with all back-to-back DUs.

great work!

Re: 60 Double Unders - PR

Very impressive

I finally eliminated the single skip between double unders on Monday of this week. I was able to knock out 10 consecutive DU's in a row a few times....now I need to work on my form....I'm definitely wasting energy and jumping a bit too high.

Baby steps

Re: 60 Double Unders - PR

Thanks guys. It just clicked one day. Before or after every WOD my buddy and I would practice DU's with a little friendly competition and the occasional wager.

Chris, after I got in the 10 range like you are, it wasn't long before I was in the 30's. Once you get the rhythm down it's just a matter of keeping it up. I found that once I found that rhythm consistently, the height of my jumping started to come down as I was able to spin the rope faster.

Nice job! It's even better that you didn't say your legs were sore from yesterday's Fran or something.
