CrossFit Games Fantasy League

Anyone participate in one of these? I'm putting one together for some people at the box I'm at and am looking for some feedback.

I'm structuring it as follows:
  • Snake draft - First pick in first round picks last in second round
  • Each person picks three individuals and one team
  • Any points earned by the athletes or the team contributes to the total score for your team
  • Highest score wins
  • Not doing any trades or anything, but if any athlete gets injured or withdraws from the competition, you can replace them with an undrafted athlete. If one isn't available, [insert Dave Castro ****-eating grin] too bad

Thoughts?

Not a bad idea, would only change it up in that each person picks a male, female, team and wild card(male, female, or team). Person with the most points at the end of the weekend is the winner. The prize is the losers do 1 burpee for every 5 points they lose by.

Those are good ideas, I'll use them.

If anyone wants the spreadsheet I put together, let me know and I can email it to you, all you have to do is enter the scores after each event and the spreadsheet does the rest. There's probably a way of formatting it so you could just copy and paste the leaderboard from the Games site, but I'm quite frankly too lazy to make that work.

Re: CrossFit Games Fantasy League

A group of us did something different for the games. For each event, each person picks the winner, 2nd and 3rd place, and 4th and 5th place. So it would look like this:
1st place: Rich Froning
1-3: Rich froning, jason khalipa, ben smith
1-5: Rich froning, jason khalipa, ben smith, scott panchik, josh bridges.
every time you were right in a category, u get one point. so if froning finishes first, you get 3 points. you do this for each event and for male and female. Then you just keep getting more points each event. should be fun. It sounds a little complicated, but once you figure it out, its easy

Re: CrossFit Games Fantasy League

We just picked first, second, third for Regionals for men and women. if you got one right, 3 points, if they were on the podium, but on a different spot, 1 point.
everyone had to choose what they would do if they lost in a Region e.g. 50 burpees w/ vest. was fun, though/because I lost a lot.
