Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Another good day. Slept great, feel good.

Fitness: First day of morning lite cardio ran super slow for half an hour, was the easiest run I've ever had, not because it was slow, mostly cause Greg Erin Liz and Sammy have been very effective. Further testament that we've got the best training team ever: I beat my previous Death by Pullups by four rounds, they're really coming along, big up to Rachel and little Baratz for teaching me the kip! now if only my hands would stop giving up so easy. Oly Lifting was a blast as always, my snatch is tight.

Fuel:
Cals: 2282
Fat: 80 g (-25g, don't know if I should be sad bout this)
Cholesterol: 173 mg (mmm red meat)
Sodium: 3540 mg
Carbs: 152 g (+2g)
Sugars: 68 g
Fiber: 22 g
Protein: 250 g (bullseye!)

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

For today, 8/10/10:

Made strides with my pull ups todays, the green band is getting much easier. First time doing death by pull-ups, my hands crapped out earlier than I would have liked, but I'm glad I got to try this and I look forward to the next time so I can beat my score!

Diet:

Calories: 1,469
Protein: 126g (+11g)
Carbs: 113g (-32g)
Fat: 59.6g (on target)

So far I'm not feeling hungry at all, and my energy level feels pretty good. I agree with Reid, as much as I thought I loved them, the hardest "macro" goal for me to meet each day is carbs! I try to load up in the morning, but I don't want to just make up for it at the end of the day by eating a ton of carbs at night. This is something I'm going to try to tweak this week.

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Tuesday, August 10

http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJour...wner=mlwaldeck

Calories 1,506

Fat 58.5
Carbohydrate 94.3
Protein 147.7

Fat was pretty spot on, protein was surprisingly high. Not sure what to do if I accidentally get too much in too early. Carbs were too low as usual.

Snacked on chicken breast throughout the morning (baked with adobo seasoning and lemon juice, YUM)
Also remainder of my brussels sprouts and half a cucumber. Random.
Realized this was in no way enough food. Got chicken breast, yams, and mixed veggies from Wegman's midafternoon. That was delicious. Have GOT TO PACK FOOD BLARGH.
Unexpected Phillies tickets and I was stressing about the timing of the ballgame and what I would eat. Tried to time my lunch as late as possible but was still kind of hungry and low on fat and carbs for the day. Got too much protein. So I ate my fave snack of frozen blueberries and coconut milk to make up the difference. It was nice to be able to enjoy it! Finally, I am proud to say that I made it through the Phillies game without ice cream, popcorn, a hot dog, beer, a funnel cake, or the other myriad yummy ball park food. I stuck to peanuts and water, and felt good.

A couple things to note. I have been so, so tired for the last few days. The alarm goes off at 5 and my body goes ugh, no way. Not like usual because my brain is never like YAY WAKE UP FOR CROSSFIT. But in that sick tired, can't even move way. Weird. And all day my torso has been cramping, it's been really strange. I don't know. I'm doing my best but my body is not happy with me for some reason. So I think I'm going to listen this week and maybe take the remainder of the week from CF and just let myself adjust to the major calorie reduction. I feel very guilty about this. I've set myself up with such an amazing group of people to encourage me at 6am and I get stressed when I don't go. It's a blessing and a curse.

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Day 2...

Felt pretty good for most of the day until about 9:45pm when I started to feel realllly nauseous... not sure why, don't know if it's something I ate, something I didn't eat or totally unrelated... my GI system has a history of keeping me on my toes .

Better at keeping fat in check today, not so good with other totals. Apparently I can only focus on one thing at a time. Here's what I ate.

Breakfast
1/4 cup Greek yogurt with grapes
2 oz. chicken
2 oz. raw green pepper

Lunch
.5cup chicken salad
3 oz broccoli

Snack
Banana
1 oz chicken

Dinner
2 mini turkey/chorizo burgers (probably equal to one regular burger)
1/4cup greek yogurt with grapes

Totals:
1117 calories
59g fat (-2)
67g carbs (way low)
91g protein (-31)

Going out tomorrow for a friend's b-day... will definitely be a test of my willpower.

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Argh. What a fine balance this all is.

http://www.fitday.com/fitness/FoodLo...ate=1281398400.

For the day

PRO +28
FAT +20.9
CHO -58.8

Please tell me as the days go by i will not have these huge deficits/overages. Today was a rest day and i spent it in NYC with my niece and nephew. Being away from home and my food scale screwed me a bit. i was feeling very tired and hungry while there. Got home around 9 and had to make dinner STAT which resulted in a too much fat/protein. I guess I should be keeping a running total so I know where I stand come dinner.
