Level 1 Cert Results?

I did my level 1 Sunday June 24th at NorCal CF and haven't received my test score I know the registration paper said 5-7 days before they're emailed to us. Today is Day 7 and I checked my inbox and nothing is there regarding Cert results.

Could it be they are just too busy with the Games coming up? My box wants to hire me but needs my results first. So, we are both waiting.

Hi Mark,

Get in touch with the seminar team:

seminars @ crossfit DOT com.

They should be able to answer any questions you have.

Hope that helps,
-Boz

Boz, I sent them an email earlier. Still awaiting a response. Busy time of the year.

Yeah I was worried there. Test wasn't easy that's for sure. Glad I paid attention and studied.

Re: Level 1 Cert Results?

Ugh, that worries me. I'm taking mine at the end of August. I've been studying like crazy and reading everything I can on the CF Journal site.

Have any helpful tips?

Go through all the vids about programming, nutrition, virtuosity, everything. That is what helped me pass.

First - I know this sounds dumb, but: really read the question. If you just read it quickly, you may miss a nuance (not necessarily a trick) that identifies what answer they are looking for. The question should be phrased in such a way that it is actually suggesting the answer among the choices that are offered. The only possible trick is whether you are looking for an answer that BEST fits what CF prescribes, or what would be the antithesis of what CF prescribes - but that should be clear if you carefully read the question.

Second - if you are unsure about any particular question(s) on the test, there is test-taking theory that is specifically designed for standardized tests (multiple choice) that help point you toward the answer that the test-maker is looking for. On any test where you are given multiple choices (3 or 4 answers) and you are asked to find "the answer", there will be at least 2 clearly WRONG answers. Eliminate those immediately. Then you are either left with 2, where one is a much better fit than the other, or just one, because your elimination process kicked out all of the bad choices. The only twist on this is when you are given a "d" and/or "e" selection that includes "none of the above" or "all of the above". At that point, you just need to identify 1 good answer to eliminate the "none of the above" and identify 2 good answers to SELECT "all of the above."

Lastly - don't stress out. If you've been studying, and if you pay attention at the Cert, you should be fine when you take the exam.

good luck!
