Jason's getting swole

age: 18, male
PRs:
deadlift-405
squat:365 (or thereabout), but with straps and belt
bench-235x4
mile-about 6 minutes
power clean: 185

current BW: 208 or some ****

current:
deadlift: 285x5
bench: 185x10
squat: let's not even talk about it
power clean: unsure
mile: haven't timed it in about two years

goals? get stronger, get faster, get into contact sport shape. getting leaner would be nice, too. i'm at about 16% bodyfat, maybe 17

protocol? CFFB, modified for my schedule. as in, rest days are whenever i don't feel like working out/can't due to my schedule

diet? roughly paleo, not gonna stress too much

YESTERDAY 10/16/2010
SWOD: power cleans: 115x3, 135x4x3
DWOD: 5 rounds of benching 185 for max reps and sprinting half a gasser (about 100 yards)
reps were: 10,8,6,4,4

ran for a bit on some trails later

Re: Jason's getting swole

Today
SWOD
squat 225x5x3
press 105x5x3

DWOD
started and didn't do it. i'm not going to put myself out there just to exhaust myself.

gonna take a rest day tomorrow and then get into it with a workout on tuesday, probably.

Re: Jason's getting swole

Hey thanks for the comment, and welcome to the boards. Lots of great people and resources in here.

How long have you been training? You're young and I imagine you'll get back to those previous PR's and surpass them relatively quickly. Train hard!

Re: Jason's getting swole

I started lifting about three years ago, and hit those numbers very soon after. I've hit some of them after that, but the real problem for me has always been consistency. So, this time, I'm hoping to change it. I'm going to shatter all of those in the next 13 months if I stay consistent, so no stress.

Prophecy fulfilled!
I've been working out consistently for the past three months, and for about 6 of the last 7. Maybe I'll start posting in this. Today's workout:
4/18/2011
Squat:
185x5
235x3
265x5
265x5
265x5

Bench:
215x5
225x5
235x5 PR

Pullups: BWx3x3

Snatch:
45x1
75x1
95x1
115x1
125x1
135x1
(Haven't done those in about 4 months, and even then, sporadically).

I have to reset my squat: I worked up to 305x5 as a final work set, but failed two weeks in a row. I feel really good about the direction I'm going with the training, and my life in general. Solid grades with the semester nearing the end, gonna transfer out of junior college at the end of this year, decent job that I'm good at, solid training. Weak social life, but the few people I do talk to/hang out with do matter a lot to me. Looking forward to life.

Re: Jason's getting swole

Good **** man!

Keeping a detailed workout log is one of the best things I've done.
I'll go back and have a read through stuff from a year ago and its CRAZY where a year of hard work and dedication will get you.

Sounds like life is good in other areas as well.

Check out this pic, I think you'll like it.
