Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

DUDE!! Don't do that ( or really do that, meaning stretch) I'm sorry to hear it, ice it if you can. I hope it is minor and goes quick.

Every once and a while I do something really stupid and this was one of those. Its really tight, definitely pulled something in lower back. Hopefully I'll be working out normally in a couple days.

Yea, there has been a few times you did'nt warmup enough. I have to say you take it in stride though. It happens. You will get past it.

A year ago and I would have been much more ****ed about it, but now I know that 1 or 2 forced rest days won't do anything bad for my training. Although an injured back is still very bad for training. I am slowly doing less and less silly things, although alot of it has to do with the fact that I don't have the resources to lift heavy now.

Thats exactly what happened Scott. All I was thinking about for a 2 hour car ride was the format of the workout.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

5 Rounds, untimed:
200m run
10 pullups
10 pushups
10 back extensions
10 squats

*Back is feeling a whole lot better. It mostly bothers me when laying down (which sucks). Felt good to get it moving, but I had to be careful.

Re: Jesse Emers- Get Beast

Run 1 mile, moderate pace

5 Rounds, untimed:
10 straight leg dead lift (100lb)
10 pushups
10 hip extensions

*That should be the last day of back recovery, it's feeling a bit weird still, but much better.

What time did you get on that mess?

If you back is still wierd do you think you should lay off a bit more? In saying that I know there was times that my back was ''out'' that trainng helped, I guess you know your own pain.

That was the mainpage workout with half the running and half the amount of reps, also subbed back extensions for situps. It was intentionally untimed as well, I did it at a careful pace. It was basically like a CF warmup with short runs.

Cool, I recognized it. I sometime think of doing workouts untimed just to be free of the pressuer of ''beating my last time''. But that has its alure too.

How is the back?
