Every branch of our military, and each individual who served should be honored extra today!
We should be mindful of them every day of the year, and grateful for them.
The next time you have a really old person moving really slow in front of you at the grocery checkout line or in traffic, slow down a little and think, "Is this guy one of the ones who fought at Guadalcanal or parachuted in behind enemy lines for the D-Day Invasion or...?"
If you take some time to thank one of them, you'll both be blessed and glad you did.
Last week I met an Army Ranger who had recently retired. He was a very intense guy!
He had a lot on his mind, and really appreciated someone taking the time to acknowledge him and listen for a while.
