Re: Crossfit in college

Hey Dan,

I go to the UNC Chapel Hill and while there isn't a program run through the school, a group of students started a CrossFit Club (one of them is level 1 certified). We've been trying to get adequate funding so we can buy equipment but it's been kind of tough to convince the school to give us money.

Asides from that, there are two gyms to work out in, one of which has 5 squat racks.

I hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure the University Of Nevada in Reno has a CF program.

Re: Crossfit in college

Jon has the right idea. I go to Villanova, and my friend and I tried starting a Crossfit Club last year. Unfortunately, there was not much interest. If you wind up going to a school that does not have a crossfit program, try to find other crossfitters there to workout with; that's what I've been doing here and it's been good. Another option is to be involved with one of the sports teams so you can use the athlete's weight room (if they have one). The one at my school has bumper plates and is pretty good for doing CF WODs.
