Steve- Nice to hear from you buddy. Long time no talk. I hope all is well. I did manage to get in to the CF Games, so I will be there trying my hand at being competitive again. I would love to race again, I just don't have the time. Sometime soon maybe. Take care and stay fit -- Ian

WOW!!! I just got done looking through the profiles of the competitors posted on the games website! I really feel like I need to get rid of my computer now and just start training all the time and then maybe by 2010 I will be in the top 200 or so. Those were some real monsters!

I wish I could go and just watch the games, I am sure they will be amazing, but I am in Brazil now so that's not too bad of a deal! I look forward to continue to hear more about the games and I am really excited seeing the videos and results afterward!

Hey fellas, just wondering if anyone knew if the fires were going to affect the games at all. I'm not too up to date with the details of what is happening with all the fires up there but it seemed like some of them were not all that far from Aromas. Down here in San Diego when we had our big fires last October they had to cancel all the sporting events/races and such in the area for a week or two due to the soot in the air. Is that any concern over that for the games?

I had the same concern as we are bringing our daughter with us. I asked Annie Sakamoto two days ago about the air quality and she responded, "the air is fairly smokey, but in all honesty today was the first day that I really noticed it." So far we're still going.

The registry form keeps asking me for a discount code. Did anyone else have to put this as a spectator?
I don't know what to put?

I was wondering what the take was on photographs. I have an old Yashica 4x4 that takes black and white photos. Obviously I'll be asking people before I take their pics, but what about the site or CrossFit signs? Do I need a release form?

I am so excited for the games. Unfortunately, my brother is getting married that weekend (unfortunate for my participation, not for him) and I can't attend. I love the build up this year and all the interviews.

I can't wait to do these WODs myself. Think I'll redo my schedule for next week.

Good Luck to everyone competing especially my peeps from CFSoCal!

I am SO MAD that I'm not going to the games! Plane tickets for two was just TOO EXPENSIVE. Maybe next year! I even looked into renting a huge RV, and picking up people along the way to share the cost. It would have ended up costing $3,750 to drive there and back! YIKES.

Holy guacamole! I was just looking at tickets to Iowa or Pennsylvania and they were around 500ish at a glance. That's insane for an RV. You'd have to pick up a lot of ppl.

Maybe next if there are regional qualifiers, it will be much easier for you to attend.

Well, that's some strict standards. Good to see.

Does kind of stink, though, that I would not even be considered for an award unless I was capable of 25 2.25 BW deadlifts (not that I'm going and not that I don't appreciate the higher strength focus of that workout).
