Good job!

I was at a CrossFit event that had vendors, including a vendor for speed ropes. They had a chalkboard out to track people throughout the day trying for max. consecutive DUs. The person with the most got a free rope at the end of the day. There were a few in the 200 range, and I think the guy that won was in the low 300s.

I am thinking that now that we a repeat work out from last year, we may not see the Fran ladder this year. If not, I would think they would put a familiar workout in there in its' place.....maybe Cindy or Barbara(converted to AMRAP) with hand-release push-ups and C2Bs.....

I think next week will be the heavy(er) work out.....

I think if they were to do another repeat, the 7 min thruster/C2B ladder is a good one. Do four new workouts and repeat the same one each time to document improvement over several years. Sure, people could train to specialize at that one event, but that won't get them into regionals alone.

I do think a heavier (relatively speaking) event across a short time period is likely next. Hard to not expect a C&J ladder or AMRAP.

Re: 2013 Open, Regionals and Games Thread

The reason I want new workouts every year is for me to see how I compare to different people at different things. I can test myself every year on a benchmark every year if I want to make sure I am progressing, but it is rare for me to be able to compare myself to 50,000 people on a workout, so when I do get that chance I'd rather it not be the same one.

Samantha Briggs, 323 reps????

Not saying it's not legit. I really wish these killer scores would come with a video so us lowlings get a chance to see the elite in action.

While that number seems outlandish, Sam Briggs is a Games athlete (and has a legit shot to win). She has no need to post a score that is "super lenient" like a fringe guy/girl might.

I did Fran on Wednesday (the open WOD gets announced on Thursday my time) and I am still sore from it, I know I am not going to challenge for the lead so I will do it tonight and just try to get through the DUs and leave myself at least a couple of attempts at MUs.

I dont remember her from last year. Like I said, I'm not saying it's not legit. I really would just like to see some of these performances. These people are unbelievable.
