Re: basic grocery list!

I usually have some or all of this throughout the week.

Veggies:
Leeks
Beets
Bell peppers
Bok Choy
Collard greens
Mustard greens
Tomatoes
Onions
Swiss chard
Asparagus
Broccoli
Cauliflower

Fruits:
Kiwi
Apples
Bananas
Oranges

Meat:
Ground turkey
Beef brisket
Canadian bacon
Uncured bacon
Chicken
Pork shoulder
Ribs

and eggs!!

Hope it helps. My meals are pretty basic. I usually just saute the veggies and heat up pre grilled/smoked meat or eggs.

Re: basic grocery list!

Bachelor Version

I'm not exactly an elite, but I'm pretty strong, lean, and fit. Here's what I get every week. You can do this all at Walmart for around 110-130 bucks. Basically, eat meat and veggies. I don't sweat the small stuff and I want my food to taste decent, make me strong, and be convenient.

Add to your budget one cheat meal a week--Sunday nights are great for that.

Veggies
12-14 bags steamed veggies of choice (I like broccoli, cauliflower, and the mix w/ water chestnuts)
3-4 big bags frozen spinach
Snack bags of carrots

Fruit
Huge bag of frozen strawberries
Huge bag of frozen blueberries
Apples

Starches
6-8 microwavable sweet potatoes
Quaker Instant Oats (not if on paleo)

Fats
6 snack packs of Wholly Guacamole
Naturally More Peanut Butter (not paleo but amazing)
Almonds or Cashews

Protein
1 Rotisserie chicken (2 if you're a stud)
Box of Jenny-O frozen turkey burgers
Chicken burgers
2-3lbs ground beef
Pork roast (for crock pot)
Salmon (don't skimp on this, buy some decent fish)
Eggs (I always hard-boil them immediately after I buy em')

Dairy (optional)
Chobani Greek Yogurt
Milk or Almond Milk

Misc
Coffee
Salsa (lots of it...)
Olive Oil
Cinnamon, Cumin, Red Pepper, Sea Salt

Optional Fun stuff
Powerade Zero (man up, stick w/ Pink...I think it's Strawberry)
Dark chocolate
Lara Bars or Protein Bars (I like Pure Protein chocolate and chocolate chip)
Monster drinks (I like the Lemonade Rehab)
Skinny Cow ice cream treats (for your weaker moments)

Get a George Forman, a Magic Bullet, and a Crockpot. Enjoy living like a King.

I shop and cook once, on Sunday mornings. Total time driving to store, shopping, and cooking is about 2:30 (not including any Crockpot cooking I do).

Oh and I like having a few cans of smoked kipper snacks in the cupboard too.
