the Boz has spoken.

When I visited Denver a few years ago I worked out at Front Range and it was a great gym run by a great crew. I've not been to Verve, but knowing what I do of the Chan's, and again Boz vouching, if you're able to, give them shot.

Re: Denver!!!

Verve is in the Highlands neighborhood, which is within spitting distance of Downtown Denver, and the Chans are well known throughout the CrossFit community.

If memory serves right, Front Range CrossFit is more south Denver, they've had Games athletes over the last few years as well as affiliate teams in the Games.

Down in my neck of the woods there's CrossFit Parker (suburb south of Denver), which is run by a guy named Ryan who was in the 2010 Games. Up north (Broomfield) you've got MBS CrossFit that's run by Pat Burke who's been to the 2009-2011 Games.

There are affiliates all over the place, so I'm sure you'll find something.

Re: Denver!!!

Jamie Skibicki should still be on this board somewhere. I just talked with him recently about it since there is a possibility of moving to Denver in the near future and I'll need to probably find an olympic lifting friendly gym.

Re: Denver!!!

Alex-
Kevin gives a pretty good lay of the land here in the Denver metro area, except that Verve recently moved to the outskirts of downtown from the Highlands.
I'm into my 5th year of CF'ing, the first half of which was alone, in my garage. 2 1/2 years ago I decided I had to have some coaching and WOD in a group setting so I joined Front Range after shopping my options.
Looking at your impressive numbers I think you'd fit in great at FRCF. We have both a CF room, and a dedicated lifting room, with 10 platforms. The Oly coaching is second to none, and for a flat rate you get unlimited visits and all the extras including a rowing coach, a gymnastic coach, and personalized nutrition attention.
I think the 2nd place team in the affiliate cup last year, 2 women in the top 30, and 2 place 55-59 master male speak for themselves. And this year should be even better!
Holla if you'd like to drop in and check it out. (dandevand@aol.com)

Re: Denver!!!

Alex-
I posted a long reply last nite but it has disappeared.
Since I'm on my phone now I'll give you the short answer. Front Range is it. Flat rate gives you unlimited Wods plus dedicated gymnastic and rowing coaches, individualized nutrition attention and the added motivation of WODing with the 2nd place team, 2nd place 55-59 Master male, and two top 30 women!!! Plus we have a separate Oly room with 10 platforms. Check out the website for more info.
