Hi everyone,

I just found out that I fractured my 5ht metacarpal on my right hand. It's annoying. I am hoping I can get some suggestions as to how I can continue doing WOD's etc while still allowing it to heal properly. It is not broken through or anything the doctor called it a "Green stick fracture". I find I can still do push ups without too much pain, and squats are still fine, but anything where i have to hold onto the bar with a heavy weight makes it really sore and swell up (DL, Pull Ups, DB Presses, etc)I tried just taping it like I do for boxing and that helped to the point of being able to do DB swings as long as I put my sore hand as the top hand.

Adam,

A good rule of thumb is to stick to the things that don't bother it. Now's a good time to work on things that you don't normally do. Lots of leg and abdominal work, pistols, box jumps, zercher squats, Tabata squats, shadow boxing, jump rope. Since you're a boxer, you may be doing a lot of this anyway. Good luck.
