Due to various logistical concerns I can't make it to the track to do my "Helen" workout on Monday (I'm two days behind the WOD schedule)...I'm planning on substituting three minutes of fast burpees for each 400m....does this seem an equitable exchange?

Bret,
If you have anywhere to run, try: http://www.mapmyrun.com/ to lay out a 400 m. course (appx .25 mile). On the other hand, 3 min of fast burpees sounds way harder to me than running a 400. I would say half that (1:30) might be a more equitable sub unless your a really slow runner and an "fast" burpees are slow enough to maintain the pace for 3:00. |

i have to stay in the house for my next helen workout, but thanks for the link, it's cool.
actually--burpees are easier for me than 400s; i can knock them out, whereas 400s seem like a lot more work...i'm working on them, though. |

Bryan,
Thanks for the cover. Sorry, Lynne. I'll be more diligent about posting in the future. Bret, you sound like you're a burpee machine! Go for it! I don't think I'll try Belching Helen any time soon though. |
