Shogun vs Jones

Who do you guys like and why? thoughts on how the fight will go? I really like Shogun and really like Jones. I think Shogun has got to keep away from the Wrestling and out strike Jones. I believe has more raw knockout power and is faster. Jones has super wrestling skills so I think he uses that to get the GNP advantage and wear Shogun down. I predict Shogun will win by TKO in round 2.

Re: Shogun vs Jones

Im going with experience. Shogun has been at this long enough fighting guys that at the time were considered better fighters and beating them. Jones is a super talent that will have a good future but is about to have a set back actually fighting a real top 5 fighter.

It's hard to see how this plays out. I feel like someones head is going to fly out of the octagon...but realistically, some kind of decision is likely.

Like both guys and am ready for a great fight.

Re: Shogun vs Jones

I'm bummed that Rashad can't go for this, but it should be a good match-up.

I also just read that Akiyama is out due to the Tsunami, so Nate Marquardt is fighting Dan Miller.

I am looking forward to Urijah v. Wineland and Crocop v. Schaub.

Re: Shogun vs Jones

I was really impressed with Edson Barboza in his last fight.

I'm also interested to see what Shalarous can bring for Jimmy Miller, who is tough as nails.

Re: Shogun vs Jones

If Shogun is healthy and his knee is recovered I would give the fight to him with his superior striking and the fact that he is good off his back also. I like Jones and the potential he is showing but we haven't really seen him face a great striker like Shogun. I am fairly certain that when Jones decides to take it to the ground Shogun will be able to survive.
