Ready for UFC 127?

BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch
Michael Bisping vs Jorge Rivera
Geroge Sotiropoulos vs Denis Siver
Carlos Condit vs Chris Lytle

This looks like a pretty well rounded card, can't wait to see the BJ fight, the Sotiropoulos fight and the Condit fight.

Looks like a good card - Bisping v Rivera could be a good fight too, even though MB is not a fan favorite.

Re: Ready for UFC 127?

Condit is out with a knee injury. Seems to be a trend at Jackson's MMA lately. It must be crowded, everyone and their brother is down there.

It will be interesting to see if Guida gets past Pettis and Guillard wins his next fight if they try and match them up for a contender spot. I think the UFC hates these guys being friends and preventing fights. ie Evans and Jones.

I really hope BJ cans Fitch. Love both fighters, but BJ has always been more entertaining.

Also hoping Bisping gets popped, but I doubt it. He's pretty damn good.

This card is a dud, IMO. Zero interest in Penn vs. Fitch and really don't get why anyone wants to watch Bisping fight, especially against someone as irrelevant as Rivera. Condit-Lytle looked to be the only good fight and now it's not happening.

I agree. Who wants to see Bisping ? I would not be shocked if he lost Dana cut him loose. Penn vs Fitch? And then what? The winner is the # 1 contender to fight GSP ....again?

Re: Ready for UFC 127?

I guess the only thing left on this card is Sotiropoulos - if he wins, he's got to be within a couple fights (and wins) of the LW belt.

I've been impressed by him since he went down to 155#. His BJJ is sick.

Edit:
Who knows... since this fight is in Australia, if he wins, I wouldn't put it past Dana of announcing the title shot right there in front of a home crowd.

This. BJ Penn is my favorite fighter, and I probably wont watch this card...

Dana wont cut Bisping, that is Dana's golden ticket in the UK. I'm a huge Bj fan but this is a tough match up for him. Hopefully he pulls it out.

Golden ticket for how long? He hasn't really done much lately....to me not even top 10 in the division... Maybe the U.K needs a new hero.
