Re: Anybody here try the StrongLifts 5x5?

I am doing stronglifts advanced, which is basicly build up to heaviest 5x5, then a deload week and another buildup to heaviest 3x3.

I am now in the middle of W3, there is another hard week ahead and then deload week.

How to fit holidy time into this program? If I follow the program "by the book", I will finish with a deload week right before I hit the holiday. Then its 1 week off for me before returning to the gym.

What Im thinking one more hard week after week4 (repeat of it as most likely I wont be able to add any more weight) and complete that hard week right before the holiday, do a holiday and when returned, do a deload week and then move to 3x3. Or skip the deload week (as I will have a mega "deload" during holiday) and go straight into 3x3 when returned? I dont imagine I could do anything more than a few simple bodyweight exercises on holiday; air squats, pushups and maybe HSPUs.
