10 K Run
9/13/06 (Approx) Swap from Dew, to Diet Dew. Weight, 290ish. No exercise plan.
1/15/07 (approx) hit 250 via diet alone. That was the amount I wanted to hit to be in good enough shape to hit the gym again, so I had to start. (Never thought I would hit it when I set the goal)
7/3/07 weighing in at about 218ish and still hitting the gym regularly, I start the Couch to 5K plan.
8/4/07 Weighing in at 214ish, I made the big leap to the 20 minute run. I am now at what I believe to be the best shape of my life, to date. Two separate caliper fat checks at Golds peg me at 8.8% body fat, but itís more likely 12-14%
At this point, I took what I thought was going to be a week off to work on replacing the rear end of the Vette. Took about two months to finish, and I stopped working out and running while doing it, which of course lead me to not exercising. I still kept loosing weight though, but I believe it was half muscle.
10/19/07 Lowest number on the scale at 203.8 (Doubt I will ever get that low again, I'm around 215, and getting more muscles)
11/24/07 Start going back to Golds. I find I have indeed lost a bit of strength, but I manage to get back into the swing of it and go 3-5 times a week.
12/24/07 Start Crossfit. First day, 150 burpees. Sounds easy enough, right?
12/29/ 07 First day at Crossfit Centralís free week of classes. Worked on Helen, included is 3 rounds of 400m runs. I have trouble running them.
Today 34 days after that first run.....
2/1/08 Been doing WoDs fairly regularly lately when it does not include lifting that I am not yet equipped for. Only 5 WoDs include any running.
I ran 10,000 meters in 65 minutes, not outstanding by any means, but it was nonstop. Guess this stuff works, eh? Granted, I was at 90% + on heart rate the whole time, but I seem to still be alive, though when I first walked in the door, I wasn't quite sure. I have never even attempted to run 1/3 this distance. The 20 minutes I got up to from C25K was only 2 miles.
Little hard to see this, but the red line is HR, purple is speed.
37, 6-2, 215. Started 12/24/07. I thought I was in fairly ok shape, until I found this place. ;) Working on passing Fitness Skill Tests Lvl 1.
