3-month Testimonial

I wanted to drop a quick post about my CF experience.

I've been working out regularly for the last 11 years or so. I've tried a bunch of programs over the years. My last workout program consisted of a modified version of Starting Strength combined with interval and distance running. Starting Strength is heavy on compound weight exercises(deadlifts, squats, et cetera).

I switched to CF in late January, almost exactly 3 months ago. At the time, my deadlift PR was around 225, my 5K PR was just shy of 24 minutes, and my 8K PR was just over 40 minutes.

Since late January, I've been following the main page WODs with slight modifications and marginal additions of 3-5 mile runs.

In that time, I've managed to destroy my deadlift PR, pulling this morning at 315 pounds, and drop my 5K and 8K PRs.

It feels strange to be making gains on exercises I don't work on that specifically; I don't deadlift 2-3 times a week anymore, but I've clearly had major gains. And I'm not doing interval training, but my running times have dropped as well.

Clearly, something in CF is working for me. Loving it so far, can't wait to keep going!

You worked out for 11 years and had a 225 lb deadlift?

I was only deadlifting in the 9 months or so prior to switching to CF.

Re: 3-month Testimonial

I'm coming up on 3 myself. I've dropped 15 pounds and have benched over my bodyweight for the first time in my life. I'll be over 200 by August. The energy I get from this (after the feeling of imminent death subsides) cannot be duplicated.

I had never deadlifted (or c+J'd or Snatched or OHS'd) before starting CF.. what's your point?

Patrick- awesome gains.. keep those linear gains going as long as you can!
