Re: im finally NOT sore!!!

That's rough dude. If I was sore that much I'd scale back and/or change what I was doing.

Re: im finally NOT sore!!!

it wasnt the same muscles sore the hole time.it was just being sore from all the different work outs.

Soreness is sometimes a side effect. It shouldn't be a goal. If you're always sore, you need to scale back: you're doing more than your body can recover from.

Re: im finally NOT sore!!!

Soreness doesn't mean you're progressing so I don't know why you would want to be sore.

It's generally just a hindrance

i guess i should have typed it with more sarcasm.i thought the title having the word "finally" in it would have given that away.

Re: im finally NOT sore!!!

I see where you're coming from Eric. It can definitely be satisfying to flex the muscles you've been thrashing and feel exactly what's been worked. As the crew said, soreness doesn't indicate whether or not it was a quality workout, but it can be a sign that you are pushing yourself harder than you were before. Knowing that can be gratifying.

Stick with it, and be sure to keep us updated on your progress!

Re: im finally NOT sore!!!

My first couple of months were like that too, Eric. After years of running 5-8 miles a day slowly and not feeling any muscle soreness it was a nice change.
