I have recently become aware, through a friend, that a girl with tattoos on her knuckles was allowed to enlist so I don't think I'll have a problem with the Navy. I want to do rescue swimming and both the USCG and Navy are similar in that regard so I'm satisfied. =]

The Coast Guard made no mention of my right forearm tattoo... it was because the wrist tattoos would extend out of my uniform, I guess. I wish they had told me they had that policy before I drove 2 hours for an interview and filled out 30 minutes worth of paperwork.
