Long shot: trading my Rogue S-2 for an S1

hey,

so i just got the Rogue fitness S2 rack 2 days ago and while i love how solid it is, i feel that it is just too big and overkill for my space. i really should have gone with an S1 for easier moving around. my question is what are my options as far as switching to the S1? i am assuming that my chances to find someone local in the Boston area to do a trade are slim to none and shipping the thing back to Rogue for an exchange will be very costly. i am also assuming that worst case scenario i should be able to just change the uprights to the ones from the S1 but again, what can i do with the ones from the S2 (my wife already threw away the box )

Re: Long shot: trading my Rogue S-2 for an S1

well, just talked to Rogue and it seems like i can buy the 70" uprights for around $100 which is not too bad but then i am stuck with the uprights and pullup bar from the S2. i really wish i still had the boxes for this stuff.

i also checked a few local boxes and all of none of them are using the S1.

Even Worse case scenario take a reciprocating saw and chop the uprights to the length that you want and try to find someone that wants to buy the pull up bar section.

My buddy is getting a W-4 for his garage that is not 9ft tall as the uprights are from the W-4 and we are going to cut about a foot off the top of each upright.

May be slightly sacreligious but may be easier than finding someone who wants to trade.

yeah. the really bad part is i went back and forth like a 100 times trying to decide between the S2 and the S1. but honestly, the more i think about it the more i think that it is not a big deal. the idea of cutting the uprights and sending back the pullup bar or selling it actually makes sense if i can't find someone to trade.
