Looks like you're leaving your knees forward just a touch when you're in the hang position. Try not to push them forward when you lower down to the hang -- you want to just hinge from the hip and bend straight over.

You're also tensing/pulling with your arms as soon as you start the lift from the hang. You want to make sure your upper back is engaged, but try to leave your elbows somewhat relaxed.

Your squat and external rotation of your arms in the catch look pretty good.

Re: Hang Snatch

Bending your arms early in a hang snatch means you don't have the concept correct in your head. The bar is supposed to hang from your shoulders. It's a hip movement, not an arm exercise. Get the hips moving vertically and bring the bar with you.

Re: Hang Snatch

Only thing I notice is that you shift forward when you initiate the lift from the hips as you insert a pause after you lower it.

Don't do that.

I prefer the lower to the position and then reverse the action and lift, cause I think that's the way you are supposed to do them.

Re: Hang Snatch

So i've been trying to work on using my hips and not my arms, is this any better? This time without the squat...

Re: Hang Snatch

Stop power snatching. That causes more problems later on.
