Matt's back in the saddle log

So, after a rough 6 weeks or so (few workouts, lots of stress, nutrition less than optimal, though still ~67% paleo) finals are over, summer's here, and I'm back in the saddle. Need to hit the gym 5x a week minimum. Goals are strength and GPP. Like the template of Crossfit Fairfax, but don't always have the equipment/coaching to do exactly what they're doing.

Today:

3 x 5 Back squat (225 lbs.)
50 reverse crunch (core)
Wod: 5x 250m rowing sprints, 1 minute rest

Slowest spring was #5, at 56 seconds.

3 x 5 dumbbell press (35 lbs, light but building back up)
WOD: 3 rounds
1 minute pushups
30 sec rest
1 minute situps
30 sec rest
1 minute Double Unders
30 sec rest

Score:

PU: 36, 26, 25
SU: 38,36,30
DU: 5,6,7

1 x 5 Deadlift (290)
30 Decline Situps (GHD unavailable-cleaning at my gym)
WOD: 5 50m sprints in pool, 3 minute rests

Best time: 41 sec.
Worst: ~54

20 reverse hypers
2 rounds, 200m lunges, 400m run

1 x 12 BW situps, 1 x 25 situp (10 pound plate arms extended)
3 x 11 ez curl bar pullover/sc (10 pound plates)
3 x 11 rack SS curl (65)

Tuesday:

3 x 7 35 lb. DB press
50 reverse crunches
WOD: 21-15-9 Box jumps/50 pound DB swings (time ~ 4:30)

Today:

Back squat 3 x 7, 225 pounds
50 situps
WOD: 9 1 minute intervals on C2, 1 minute rest. (from CFE, instruction was to keep distance constant). Kept between 2:00 and 1:56 500m pace all 9 intervals
