Re: 15 yr. old Breaks 4-World Records

He does some CrossFit style training for his conditioning work a couple of days per week. Most of his training revolves around powerlifting and strong man style lifts.

During the summers he did CrossFit on Tues. & Wed., rested Mon. & Thrs., did Bench Press and access. work on Fri., Squat & Deadlift + access. work on Sat. & Sun. was core training and other misc. accessory work.

Now that he's back in school he does some light CrossFit training at home on Tues. & Wed. and maintains his powerlifting schedule on Fri., Sat., & Sun.

So far the program is working.
Can't really argue with 4-APA World Record wins.

Attached is a 12 week program he followed 2 years ago. This really helped to improve his overall conditioning as well as his power and strength. We did modify and adjust as we went through the program as needed depending on his current level of fitness and his availability in scheduling due to school, summer activities, etc.

Re: 15 yr. old Breaks 4-World Records

Thanks Dave. He watched the King Kong video the other day and thought it was awesome. That's his next project. We were even considering stepping it up a notch.

Here's his version:

3 rounds for time

3 rm Squat= 300 lbs.
3 rm Bench Press= 200 lbs.
3 rm Deadlift= 390 lbs
3 rm Press= 190 lbs.
3 rm Power Clean= 175 lbs.

He normally does sets and reps with these weights with no problem. It'll be interesting to see how well he does this in a circuit for time.

We'll give it a try soon and post results.
