Hi,

I know this seems mundane and silly but it has come up in my head many times so now I am going to say it out loud on the boards.

Thanks for making links open in a new window. I surf on many sites and really like that I can find the main page I was on without having to go "back" a million times or even lose it altogether.

It is a simple thing but makes my life easier and gives me more time to workout since I need to search sites less!

Thanks.

Hey Beth, have you tried the Firefox browser? So cool, you can open windows in tabs and it's quick. http://www.mozilla.org/

Really quick - especially if you've installed the extension that uses your center mouse button to automatically open the link your cursor is on in a new tab.

Or you can just hold down on the Ctrl button whenever you click on a link (for Firefox).

I swear by my good ol' Firefox browser.

Me too. I wonder if Crossfit people are more likely to be Firefox users?

If you're using IE hold down either CTRL or SHIFT (cant remember which) when you click on a link to open a new window.

If you're using Nutscrape there is no hope ;)

I tried firefox when it first came out - kept crashing on me - so I've stuck with Mozilla for a while (it was my understanding at the time that firefox shared a bunch of code with mozilla but it didn't appear to be true when firefox kept crashing).

Anyway, one annoying thing with mozilla and the CF message boards is that since each page on the CF message board includes a "username/password" box at some place on the page (usually at the top, but sometimes at the bottom such as now, when I'm typing this in), mozilla tries to fill it in for me, sometimes filling in old subjects when I'm trying to start *new* threads. And I constantly get popups about which username to use to fill in the form. I finally got sick of it and had to nuke all cookies related to crossfit.com, which cured it, but now I get more popups about "mozilla can remember this password" crap every time. Guess I need to have a get-to-know-my-browser hour and turn all that password popup stuff off.
