Planet Fitness - Daily Show Segment

WOW! Talk about taking the "no grunting, no dropping weights" attitude of the globo gym to the extreme!

Planet Fitness, wow, you need to reassess what working out actually is.

Re: Planet Fitness - Daily Show Segment

The clip is equally funny as it is sad.

I'm still ticked that I gave Planet Fitness 30 bucks to train there on a vacation. It was the first and only gym I've visited that made me read and agree to their "behavior" policy. Unfortunately it was the only place around.

Even if it didn't have its policy in place, its a useless gym. Mainly machines, and mainly bad ones to boot, with a limited number of dumbells, no barbells except for smith machines.

They are just trying to get fitness naive people to workout there and make no progress so that they'll keep on bailing out money.

I have no qualms about people wanting to create their own gym atmosphere, but I think they could have facilitated in a much better way.

Hilarious and ridiculous. Planet Fitness should be put out of business. Discrimination at its best.

Re: Planet Fitness - Daily Show Segment

I love that commercial. A friend of mine has a group of friends from church that all go there because it's $10/month? That's what they said.

We started training a bit together but I'm moving away. However, I'm not sure if he'll stick with it unless I want to call him on the assigned workout days@7am.

I was considered telling him to go to PF just because if we went with those church buddies at least he would go. He's been exposed to CF but it's not in his budget and he needs to start with a very basic program I set up of literally running around the block, lunges, some light DL and body rows and pushups. About a year back when I was around he basically failed out after 3 weeks, one day in CF nearly killed him finishing the warmup.

He's a believer but I was telling and showing him the videos. Still he probably could be doing lunges and DL and DB rows.

I was only considering it because his other friends were going.

As dumbass as they are, if you agree to said gym rules, you should follow them and not *****.
