Operator Ugly- Female Scoring?

Hey all,

I searched the forums and found just one thread with Operator Ugly in the title. Anyway, does anybody have a good idea of what female score ranges could be for operator ugly?

http://www.militaryathlete.com/page.php?page_ID=43 WFS

Women weights are posted there but no score ranges. I have some inkling of good scores but since I'm not familiar with top , middle, and low female athlete performance standards I need some help. Thanks.

Re: Operator Ugly- Female Scoring?

I'm thinking sprints, pull ups, and the 5K at the end need to be scaled for women, specifically.
The 5K should maybe be 10# (pulling this number out of the air, but think its appropriate due to womens' lower bw).

For pull ups, would you suggest kipping pull ups? Jumping pull ups possibly? I know females are certainly capable of pull ups but in general their numbers seem to be lower than mens'.

Now sprints I'm just not sure on how to scale that or if it needs to be scaled. I think that if we scale those movements, then the same scoring can be used for women..that brings up the problem of weight classes though and I'm not sure how that should be split up either.

Re: Operator Ugly- Female Scoring?

I'm not very experienced in these matters, but my humble opinion is this:

I'd keep everything the same for women (as it is currently posted), with the exception of lowering the get up weight from 60# to 45# and no extra weight on the run.

I think everything else is doable and I'd like to give it a try in the next couple of weeks. Will probably make me cry tho.

If I do it, I can post my time then you'll know what the *low* end is.

Re: Operator Ugly- Female Scoring?

All pull-ups in MA are done strict.

You could always email Rob and ask him.

Re: Operator Ugly- Female Scoring?

If anyone is interested, Mr. Shaul got back to me and said that although he doesnt have much data on female performance for Operator Ugly, one of the best scores he's seen was from a 115# female who scored in the 120s.
