World Series

Game 6... Best game I can ever remember watching! That one will be a part of baseball-lore until the end of time. I'm thinking TX was a sad place to be last night...

It sure was... Suffice to say there are many things that can be said, not trying to turn this into an armchair manager "what should Ron Washington have done", but to be up by two twice...in extra innings...and still not close it... Making me stay up way past my bedtime... it hurts... And I have a bad feeling about game 7.. Last night was their shot...

Re: World Series

If your closer can't hold a two-run lead with two outs, your chance of a happy ending diminishes dramatically.

But coming back, and then losing it again? That's a nightmare worthy of the pre-2004 Red Sox...

I'm neutral, just enjoying some great baseball. Good luck tonight!

Re: World Series

I couldn't sit on the couch past the 7th inning. EVERY pitch I was on my knees praying. Literally. My buddy text me in the middle of the 8th before the Cards came up to bat and said "6 more outs!!".

I truly blame him for jinxing the team.

Seriously.

Re: World Series

As a lifelong St Louis fan, it's been fun watching them do the impossible... over and over again. I'm just glad it's gonna be over tonight, I don't think my nerves can take much more. We have perfect weather, steaks in the marinade, a bottle of Glenlivet, and a friday night game 7. Win or lose, life is good!
