Talking Paleo day 32.

I didn't know whether to post this in Nutrition of this section but this seems more applicable.

I did it! I did 30 days of very strict, no cheating paleo. Valentines Day just so happened to be day 31 i.e. "cheat" day one. I had some pizza, a coke, and a piece of chocolate cake with milk. It was a tad anticlimactic and I felt icky for a couple hours after the pizza, but it felt good to not have to cook it lol.

But here's the testimonial part: 31 days of Paleo, 8 workouts (I have Foundations Day number four tomorrow so that's 4 Crossfit classes including the free intro session plus 4 at home workouts), one week of the flu so no Crossfit for a week, and I have lost TWELVE pounds. Five more pounds and I will be back in the 100's for the first time since...well, since a very long time ago (early high school, I'd guess).

People have started to notice the change even though I can't see it yet and my pants are fitting looser. I have NEVER felt better, I'm getting the best sleep of my life, and I'm still really thrilled about my journey.

Thank you to EVERYONE who posts on this and the nutrition thread for giving a couch potato to crossfit/paleo girl the inspiration to stay committed every single day. You guys rock!

Congratulations on the weight loss, I've been trying to get control of my weight too. Not sure how much I'm down but I lost about 5 inches off my waist. I just bought Rob Wolf's book and I'm looking to do 30 days on paleo next week.

thats awesome. Our box just started an 8 week look better/perform better challenge yesterday. Going to try and see if I can do the 8 weeks strict Paleo to see optimal results

GREAT WORK

I'm a couple months in and have lost 15lbs. I eat pretty clean cheating with a small piece of dark (75%) chocolate after each meal.
Losing the weight is really a bonus because the most important change is how good I feel. My friends think i'm an infomercial; all I do is talk about all the positive changes:
No GRD
Tons of energy
Sleep better
Eat all I want
no depression
If you're on the fence
DO IT!!!!
give it 30 days you'll be amazed!
