July 10 minute pull up challenge

and we're off and running...

www.logsitall.com/about_crossfitranking.asp

current first place: craig ellison with 61..

ps - if possible - take a video of your attempt - i'm working on the ability to link in youTube videos to logsitall entries and this would be a good pilot project for this feature.

Bill,
I use Google video, would you need to program to accept that link any different than Youtube. I could get a video of me doing some pull-ups for you to test, but I'm not doing 61 again. I'm sore!

Re: July 10 minute pull up challenge

warren - i'll config it to accept either... no worries about doing 61 again, take it easy and do only 60 :-)

Re: July 10 minute pull up challenge

No kipping pull ups?
Chest to bar or chin over bar?
Does the grip matter? or can it be varied between sets.
Obviously, full lock out on the bottom?

Please forgive me if I've missed this discussion on a previous thread. Just want to make sure that I abide by the rules.

Also, in my logsitall account it says I'm 37 but I'm still 36 for a few more weeks. I think Warren had the same problem.

Vic

Re: July 10 minute pull up challenge

victor - i'm hoping for some others to chime in on rules - i think kipping is allowed? and that is is chest to bar - grip doesn't matter.

logsitall calculates your age age current year - birth year. this way no one can tell your exact birth date by looking at your online info - which some folks like from a privacy standpoint.

Re: July 10 minute pull up challenge

Bill asked me to post how I did the pull ups as the official rules.

Here goes:
  • Chin over bar
  • Full extension at the bottom (e.g. Lock out)
  • No Kips
  • Grip - knuckels facing you
  • Width can be wide or narrow according to preference

Hope this helps...if I left out anything let me know.

Re: July 10 minute pull up challenge

I will give it a go as soon as a good window in the prescribed WOD appears. If theres no PU's in tomorrows i will hit it then. The rotation before this was quite heavy on my elbows so maybe people following the main site WOD are still recovering also!!

Just waiting for some gumption, the pushups got my ego and chest sore. Ha.
