'Nicole' Scoring

Hi Guys!

Does anyone have any interesting ways that 'Nicole' can be scored? I'm thinking of something like 'take the lowest number of pullups in any round and multiply by the number of rounds and that's your score' or something similar..

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Rob

Re: 'Nicole' Scoring

I'd say score it against your own progress. End of story.

Re: 'Nicole' Scoring

Highest number of total pull-ups wins. This helps enforce "max set" because shortchanging it will require a 400m run before you can increase that number again - and the clock's ticking. This biases it towards people with higher pull-up numbers, but it's better than punishing people with good endurance with longer rounds.

Probably best to just log rounds/total reps with little competition.

Patrick, he owns an affiliate and is probably doing this for his clients' benefit.

I'd still say for each person to score it against their own progress.

Re: 'Nicole' Scoring

I'm gonna agree with Patrick no this one. Unless you're planning to join in on the Crossfit Games, the point is simply to put in max effort and increase the intensity. Because of availability of equipment (say, someone has a 5 sec. run to the pull-up bars each time) and personal scaling, scoring between people around the world can get needlessly complicated. You know the conditions you worked with when you did it, and you know how hard you went.

For metcons, I try to measure heart rate as soon as I can after, just for my own comparison.

Re: 'Nicole' Scoring

Guys,

Thanks for the replies. Derek is right - I am using this answer to run an affiliate workout. I think I was overcomplicating it a bit with all the math .. Total pullups it is!
