"My dog ate my notebook". If anyone happens to run into a notebook with my name on the front, and lots of slow metcon times inside, please leave it on the desk or put it in the L's box. I haven't seen it all week.
Here's how the week went:
Monday's squats: ended up with 2 x 115 and 4 out of 5 rounds Barbara.
Tuesday's deadlifts: 1 round at 155(by accident) 9 rounds at 185 for a PR.
Wed: used #55 for squat clean thrusters, had bad burpees, and got decent strict pullups, for 4 rounds plus 3.
Today: First PR: #85 presses. Second Personal Record: My worst Jackie ever. Didn't pace myself on the rower 'cause Jay played ACDC. Thrusters had better form thanks to Jay's hard work with me, but pullups were my audition for a Blue(s)Band. May take more recovery time. i.e. 3 days off.
If anybody asks me if I do curls, I'll tell them, not even for my hair.
As for Zone? So far off the wagon, the wheel wasn't invented yet.

well I was gonna start off by saying haven't posted in a while, but it looks like everyone hasn't posted in awhile

Tonight was the last night of starting strength program for me and even though I was happy for it to end it was definitely worth it. I've made a few 1 rep PR's as well as PR's for sets. My pushups have improved enormously - now able to get chest to the floor-thanks to the bench press. When I started I could only do kipping pullups and now I can do at least 1 strict pullup and 2 strict chinups.
My max back squat for 1 was 160 and now is 185. I ended the sets with 3x5 @165#. Bench press max for 1 was 85# and ended with being able to do 3x5 @ 95# (missed one rep on round 2). My press is one of my weakest movements, I didn't get a 1 rep PR but I was able to complete 3x3 @ 67#. Deadlift finished with 213# for 5. Power cleans 3x3 @ 110#. The total should be interesting

That's great progress, Angie! Keep it up! I miss seeing everyone's posts here. many are on the whiteboard. No reason not to be in both places.
I did my very first attempt at "Mary" today. Even the red band wasn't enough stability and I kept falling against the wall. I counted the pullups incorrectly, so whatever full rounds I have up on the board are not full rounds. ADD moments on the math. Just as well. Sore from yesterday's heavy Fran.
#65 thrusters(yeah, that's my heavy fran weight), and 10#pullups
15 - 12 - 9 18:48. Thanks Fred for coaching me through the last couple of minutes. I can't think of a better person to coach on fran.
