Front Squat Check

This is my front squat 3RM PR at 225lbs; followed by a failed 245 1RM attempt. All comments welcome. All vids WFS.

225 x 3 PR

Re: Front Squat Check

Put the camera further away, and possibly at a slight angle. It's hard to see anything with you coming in and out of the frame like that.

Re: Front Squat Check

Sure. Will do next time. I'm not worried about my rack position at the top, more about the lower half during the lift. So given this is what I have (until next time I try for 3x or 1x max), anyone have any feedback on what they can see?

Re: Front Squat Check

Like Katherine said, hard to see, but. from what I can tell...

Need to get your elbows a little higher at the bottom; maintaining a more vertical torso. Can be flexibility issue, and sometimes can be corrected with Olympic Lifting shoes. Knees are crashing a little, but not too bad. Also, the bar can be back a little further in the rack position, especially when you are in the bottom half of the squat.

Definitely this. Get that bar as close to your neck as possible.
