Knee pain- Kstar knee-itis fix and icing

I've been struggling with pain and swelling below my right knee for the past few weeks. I've been told in the past that I have "jumpers knee". I've been icing/Paleo/fish oil etc. I just started trying the mobility wod associated with fixing "knee-itis" and it has been helping. My questions are how often should I be doing the mobility work and also the ice massaging? Meaning I do not want to overdue it. Thanks.

It's hard to overdo mobility work. Several times per day is not too often, with the caveat that you shouldn't do it if it hurts. In your place, I would ice after doing the mobility stuff, and probably also a couple of times per day on top of that.

But I'm not an expert, and some of those who hang around here are and may have other advice.

I'd just make sure you get in some mobility work everyday......2x per day is good, with ice.

Thoughts on ice massage vs typical icing? I've been doing ice massages..5 minutes on, 30 minutes off when I can.

That's fine. Don't fall asleep with ice on your leg.

If it's tendonitis.... read this and do the protocol

Also, eval yourself if it's chronic or more acute. It makes a difference in what you do...
