Whats a good substitution for DB snatches?

Kettlebell snatches!

You can also do one-arm barbell snatches (or at least I can, don't know about you) as long as the put the collars are on tight. I've done up to 70 pounds. Bumper plates help limit the "Fear Factor" of dropping a bad lift.

IMO, one arm DB santches are way easier(and safer) than regular barbell snatches.

that's as may be but there is a lot of differences between the two lifts.

.....however, it is still a good, fun movement; I've got up to half BW before (45kg) for singles and 40kg for a few doubles.

Roy - Try two arm DB snatches! They're killer on stabilizer muscles. >:D
