A newbie does the Anabolic Diet

I have heard of several having great results from the AD. I will be starting tomorrow am. currently 205 lbs at 6'2". I have been doing starting strength for a month. I am looking to keep progressing on my lifts and get my weight to 190 by March. I am going to be running a 1/2 marathon mid march and can in no way get that accomplished at 205. I am posting on here so I feel I have some accountability/incentive to stick with it. So feel free to bust my balls if I do not faithfully post my progress. I will start induction w/ the hope of losing close to ten pounds to start.

BTW I figured I should blow it out today w/ a cheat.
I had
two cups of homemade snack mix
small serving of tuna salad
two hot dogs big serving of potato chips
two brownies, one w/ a bowl of vanilla ice cream
whopper w/ cheese and fries
also had a miller lite and four diet cokes, feel like ****. time to get my *** in gear.

Re: A newbie does the Anabolic Diet

I bumped the CF Anabolic Diet thread back up to the top for you...plenty of good stuff in there. Have you read the book?

Re: A newbie does the Anabolic Diet

yeah, I forgot to mention that thread is what finally got me back on board. I don't have the book yet. But I have seen a couple of variations on the ketogenic/carb up diets. My degree is in Athletic Training/Exercise Science and have seen it work several times and much better than the old school low fat diets. BTW started w/ an four egg omelet w/ bacon, cheese, sour cream and fresh salsa, two cups of black coffee.

Agree, the beer:soda ratio is jacked. Especially for a "last Hoo raw!"

Welcome to the fold.

Re: A newbie does the Anabolic Diet

so here is how I capped yesterday. Dinner was six bacon wrapped scallops, an entire seared ahi platter, a 12 oz salmon filet w/ Asparagus, unbelievable. Woke up today had some black coffee, fasted until tonight and had a four egg omelet, w/ four strip of bacon, fresh salsa, and sour cream. I'm good until tomorrow.

Brian, are you AB'in or IF'ing? I am fairly new to both diets and interested in following you.
