Carla... CVS has a weekly planner that is less that $2 that is perfect for recording workouts. It's not clear, but here is a scanned image of mine.

Re: Carla's Workout Log

Thursday, 5/1/08

Today’s workout was in honor of Grace’s 42nd Birthday. Grace works out at Cross Fit Houston but in the mornings so I haven’t met her yet. This workout is not to be confused with Cross Fit’s version of Grace.

6:00pm

"Grace 42" – Cross Fit Houston Version
400m Run
42 Jumping Lunges
42 Box Jumps on 20” box – jump up, step down
42 Squat Jumps – 8 lb medicine ball
42 Box Jumps on 20” box – jump up, step down
42 Jumping Sit-ups – 8 lb medicine ball
42 Box Jumps on 20” box – jump up, step down
42 Jumping Ball Slams –10 lb slam ball
400m Run

Completed in 26:05

This was the most challenging workout for me by far. I have never felt this tired or out of breath on any of the prior Cross Fit workouts. Each time I took a break I was light-headed and felt as though I was going to throw up (this happened about 10 times)... Also, on the first box jump I underestimated how high I had to jump and I came up short. I banged up my shins REALLY bad and have some nice bruises. After that I jumped a lot higher than I had to because I was paranoid it would happen again…

Friday, 5/2/08

Rest Day

Also, I ordered my pull-up bar yesterday and some skinny bands today. I should have these next week!!! Yippee!

They are hard!

1. Start standing holding a medicine ball
2. Squat down into a seated position (see pic #1)
3. Roll back like you're going down from a situp (see pic #2)
4. Keep on rolling back until your feet are over your head touching the floor behind you
5. Push back up into a sitting position
6. Stand up out of a squat and jump up with the medicine ball over your head (see pic #3)

Re: Carla's Workout Log

Those jumping sit-ups are impossible! You're a beast!
I'd heard of another difficult sit-up where you anchor your feet with heavy DBs near the wall...holding a med ball ( use a light one) , do a wall ball then squat down and roll back to the floor, then do a situp and stand up. I tried them with no luck. Just couldn't get up from the floor holding a med ball!

Re: Carla's Workout Log

Hi Carla!

"Grace 42" was brutal, eh?! Carlos Ibarra can be a very evil task master. He knows that I like my bum kicked. You should have been there the other week (Thursday 6am) for the SDHP/JERK and Cindy Grinder. That was even harder...and the hardest WOD in my 42 years of life! It made today's MURPH seem like nothing....really!

My PT sessions are reorganized so I can make it there one morning each week. I quit the personal training company I worked for last week. When you're in town on Saturdays, you should join our Free Sugarland Community Workout at Kempner HS. We have a thread under the Search for Crossfitters Community Forum. Our activities are announced there for now. I'm trying to really get HIGH ENERGY going for CrossFit in Fort Bend County/Sugarland area.

Ok, I'll try 6am Wednesday morning next week so I can work hard with you.

See ya!
