Push presses were the slowest/hardest bit. Doing it in 5 rep chunks by round 3. But hey, it's not supposed to be easy!
Great comment about Crossfit in the mornings. Nice time there Alix. Good for you! Ring pull ups are definitely in my to do list. Keep up the hard work!

Re: Alix's new kid log

Thanks Grace - I think you're giving me more credit than I'm due. The ring pull ups I'm talking about are from horizontal (heels on floors, hips locked) not vertical (there's a goal worth aiming for!!). Maybe I'm calling them the wrong thing?

Re: Alix's new kid log

I was picturing a new crossfitter banging out ring pullups and was really impressed! Horizontal or not, looks like you're working hard and enjoying yourself!
I think I might go to our local soon to be crossfit gym and try some (horizontal).

Re: Alix's new kid log

Give me another week or so!!
Good session with PT this morning - more boxing, which is great fun.
Ring push ups - killer
Puled my 92kg trainer up and down the gym on one of those slippery disc things. Some sadist (um, me) thought it would be a good idea to do a set of squats after each 50m lap. Brilliant! That hurt! Shoulders tired after boxing - push presses and more boxing.
Weight down to 70.3kg (155lb) which is good. Just need to work on BF.

Re: Alix's new kid log

Fun workout this morning

100 ring pull ups (from horizontal girls!)
100 push ups (on low box, need to work on maintaining depth towards the end there!)
100 sit ups
100 squats

18:05

weight all over the shop and had a cheat day yesterday - was craving bread in a big way. So I succumbed and had a couple slices sourdough multigrain. Gasp!!!!

Alix,

It's still a Ring Pull Up in my book! Horizontal or vertical, you are using your body to move from one space to another.

Awesome time on the 100s! Keep working hard! Eat, forgive and carry on! Next day is a new day....new frontier.....more wicked WODs to make you better!

Re: Alix's new kid log

Hey Kelly and Grace - thanks so much for your feedback!

This morning's workout

21-15-9
Thrusters - 30kg (66lb)
strict pull ups (did get some assistance). One of the guys I was working out with was hilarious - we were basically doing bicep curls to get him up them - and he was not a small boy. Too funny!

Enjoyed it but think I will have tired shoulders! I have my trainer this afternoon which is usually a lot of boxing!! Plus my HR monitor finally arrived today - yay!!!!!!
