Recently I injured my left knee which doesn't seem to be springing back. It feel slightly unstable and when I work out afterwards it feel stiff and I feel a warmth just below the kneecap. I went to my Chiro/ART Doc and saw no no obvious damage of cause for the symptoms. He is recommending a MRI but concedes that it might not show anything.

So I figured I would find a good sports orthapedic Dr. to tak ea look at it and give me his take on it.

Any help in a direct recommendaiton or at least pointing me in the right direction of how to find a REALLY good ortho is appreciated!

I went to med school in Chicago and one of my professors was a Family Practitioner specializing in Sports Medicine. As I recall he's done work with professional athletics in Chicago. His name is Kurt Heinking and he practices in Willowbrook. He's not a surgeon but as I recall he was a quality SM guy. If you don't find an orthopod I'd consider him a good first step.
