Re: Clydesdales in the Open

6"2' 220# , 36

this was my first WOD since 14.3. I had a old back injury that has never bothered me in my 1.5 years during CrossFit. but 14.3 put me down for the count for about 5 days. it hurt to cough it was that bad, back spasms and disc involvement. Got worked on with a doc a few times and was able to do 14.4 today.

Got 180. my T2B took too long since I havent worked out at all in over a week. Did Cleans in sets of 5 till 25, then 3 and 2. finished cleans in 13:16

jumped on rings and couldnt get a MU, couldnt turn over.

it is what I expected considering I could barley walk last week.

I am guessing Bar over burpees and Increasing weight Thrusters like 13.1 for 14.5

Re: Clydesdales in the Open

the Open is done, did 14.5 and that was miserable and my time showed it. the last 2 weeks since I did 14.3 my training half been very minimal and my engine has gone to ****. 14.3 did my back in..and it has showed in the last 2 workouts.

I finished in 16:52, while many of my training partners were in the 13's and low 14's. Not where I wanted at all, but not redoing it.

time to take a down rest week, lay off the weights, get my cardio back with some running and endurance wods now that it is finally warming up in Ohio.

Good Luck all

Re: Clydesdales in the Open

12:48 for me. Should have pushed to go unbroken on more sets of thrusters, but held back to go hard in the single digits.
