Re: Heavy Weight Helen?

8:40 5'9" 200lbs. PR by 26 seconds. It's all about the run.

Re: Heavy Weight Helen?

6', 225-230 lbs, Helen PR of 9:53. Last three Helen attempts have all been at the 10:30 mark, or thereabouts

It's interesting to hear Jim say it's all about the run, but I think my KBS are where I'm lacking speed. If I can get a :90 first 400m, sub ten is pretty doable for me.

I think Helen is all about the Run and Pull Ups. If you can do all around 1:30 and butterfly the pull ups I think sub 8:00 is achievable for us heavy weights. The KB swing speed is limited by the decent of each rep. If you force the weight down you run the risk of hitting your self in the un-happy place
and taking your self out of a smooth rythym.

I think I am going to tackle this Monday.

Re: Heavy Weight Helen?

6'3" 200lbs - I don't really consider myself a heavy-weight

7:29.64 as rx'd - 13 sec PR

1:10.40 + 0:47.95 + 0:21.10
1:21.78 + 0:49.91 + 0:25.44
1:25.37 + 0:47.58 + 0:20.11

Re: Heavy Weight Helen?

Nice work!

How old are you guys? How long have you been Crossfitting?

Are your current weights (225, 200) up, down, or the same as you've been in the last couple years?
